Product Photography BOOTCAMP

Your business photography is an essential step in marketing your products and getting them into the hands of more customers. Scroll-stopping images are more important than ever! Beautiful photos will not only encourage more sales & help to increase followers on your social media but also tell the story of your brand. 
This 5 hour BOOTCAMP is designed for the maker who is just starting their business and is not yet ready to invest in professional product photography.    In this BOOTCAMP it will teach you how to DIY your product photography, give practical advice, plan and execute a product photography shoot from start to finish.   

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: 
Session 1
  • The different styles of content you can create
  • Creating a mood board & planning your shoot
  • Styling with light & colour
  • Selecting & using props & set design
  • Composing your photographs
  • Exploring FREE apps & software to help plan your photoshoot
Session 2
  • Navigating with a smart phone, simple equipment & other DIY alternatives
  • How to work with light
  • Experiment with pre-set backdrops & props as well as styling 
  • Using phone apps to photograph your products
  • Editing, workflow & using your smartphone
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
  • You must be registered with the Business Connect program.
  • Logged in & waiting for the Webinar session at least 5 minutes prior.
  • Have a pen & paper ready to write down your questions, as well as a bottle of water.
  • Online video recordings are only available for those who attend.

Gary Wheatstone - Business Connect Co-Ordinator & Advisor
Servicing:  Team Co-Ordinator as well as servicing Lismore & Alstonville 
Gary Wheatstone is a Business Advisor and Program Coordinator. He has been involved with large corporate organisations, smaller family run operations and has been a small business owner. Beginning his career in Sydney, Gary worked in retail, payroll and manufacturing covering industries including marine, construction, architectural design and electrical.

Moving to the north coast of NSW and purchasing an existing business was a steep learning curve. Financing, procurement, customer service excellence, marketing, managing cashflow, staffing and all the other hats that a small business owner wears in a day became necessary skills. Gary is passionate about small business in regional areas. He has 23 plus years of experience as a small business owner in both retail and wholesale in a country town. He understands what a business owner has to deal with day to day.

How are the ​workshops run?

Our workshops are delivered face to face & online via Zoom.   We strive to present interesting content that is up to date & relevant and delivered by experienced industry professionals.

Workshop details:
  • Price:  $25 per  person  (Currently they are FREE to anyone affected by fire, drought, floods & COVID-19)
  • ​Duration:  Workshops & Webinars vary - approximately 2- 5 hour sessions.
  • What you need to bring: We recommend bringing your laptop,  however a notepad and pen will suffice!
Our Online webinars use the Zoom platform.  You do not need to download zoom however it is advisable. 

What happens after?    -  Now that you are registered with Business Connect  you are entitled to your first 4 hours of business advice.   Subsequent advisory sessions are at a cost of $25 per hour.​

These workshops have been specifically designed for the Small Business owner for 2021 and beyond.   
It's all about learning as much as you can,  as well as connecting with new people to help you to keep the momentum going.  There is always a light at the end of each tunnel especially if you have a helping hand to guide you.
