​​Our workshops and online webinars are run by an enthusiastic and dedicated team at NORTEC.     We run a variety of events,  that are designed to be hands on, imparting practical skills to help you and your business grow and succeed.       ​

Business Connect is a dedicated and personalised NSW Government program that provides trusted advice to help you start, run, adapt or grow your small business.   

Business Connect Events
Customers receiving support will typically access up to 8 hours of support per financial year, including business advice sessions and events. Hours are capped over the lifetime of the program (2022-2025).

Customers are limited to a maximum of 36 hours of support in total over the lifetime of the program. All types of support from any Service Provider that are recorded in the Business Connect Reporting System are included in the 36-hour total (i.e., advice and events).

Important Information on Accessing Events
In order to gain access to events, it is essential that you log in using the SAME email address that you used to register for the event. Please keep a record to be used for logging in on the day of the event.

As webinars are hosted on the MS Teams platform the system will not allow you access unless you use the email address that was used for the initial registration.

As webinars are funded by the NSW government, participants must be residing in or conducting business in NSW. In addition, to receive the recording link and any relevant resources after the webinar, participants must be registered on the NSW Business Connect database.

How are the ​events run?

We deliver face to face workshops or online Webinars via Microsoft Teams.   We strive to present interesting content that is up to date & relevant and delivered by experienced industry professionals.

Workshop details:
  • Price:   FREE to Business Connect customers
  • ​Duration:  Workshops & Webinars vary - approximately 1.5 - 5 hour sessions.
  • What you need to bring: We recommend bringing your laptop,  however a notepad and pen will suffice!  And your questions!
Our Online webinars use the Microsoft Teams platform.  

What happens after?    Now that you are registered with Business Connect  you can typically access up to 8 hours of FREE support per year (this includes events such as Webinars) and\or advisory, capped to a total of 36 hours over the life of the program (ie to 30 June 2025).

Our NORTEC Business Connect team along with some outstanding  expert Presenters showcased some of the most valuable online workshops in NSW in the last financial year.

Delivering these online learning events have proved invaluable to many different NSW Business owners.  These events, coupled with the support delivered by our Business Connect team of Advisors, has led to us being inundated with stories of business's who have diversified to suit todays changes, news of growth as well as bricks & mortar business owners conducting their first online sale.

From the 1st of April 2022, as NORTEC moves into our 6th year of delivering Business Connect to NSW Business owners, we are really thrilled to advise that we have a new lineup of online  workshops, as well as some oldie's but goodies just because you asked.

These events have been specifically designed for the Small Business owner for 2022 and beyond.   
It's all about learning as much as you can,  as well as connecting with new people to help you to keep the momentum going.  There is always a light at the end of each tunnel especially if you have a helping hand to guide you.
 
No matter what size or stage your business is at,  we believe that consistency, creativity and a helping hand are the best tools to make anything possible.
