ATO - for the Sole trader and Partnerships - Part 2

Join us for the part 2 of our 3 part series ATO Bootcamp.  Are you a Sole trader or in a partnership running your small business from your home?  Do you know what you can claim?  As a Sole trader or partnership, do you know how to manage your tax & Super commitments?  How is your cash flow?   Getting it right is important so come along, ask questions and give your business the best chance of success.

​WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
  • What expenses you can claim as a tax deduction
  • How to calculate the amounts you claim
  • How to register, lodge & pay your online commitments (ie GST, PAYG, Tax etc)
  • How to use the online services specific to sole traders and partnerships
  • Mapping cash flowing in & out of your business
  • analysing your cash flow to head off any problems
  • tracking & monitoring your cash flow
  • using the 7 tips to maximise cash flow
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
  • You must be registered with the Business Connect program.
  • Logged in & waiting for the Webinar session at least 5 minutes prior.
  • Have a pen & paper ready to write down your questions, as well as a bottle of water.
  • Online video recordings are only available for those who attend and are registered with Business Connect.

Linden Regina lives & breathes Small Business.  She was raised on a farm and understands the pressures of running a business, trying to meet all the obligations in a timely fashion, manage cash flow, pay the bills and raise a family. 

Linden's ATO portfolio includes a broad knowledge across taxation and superannuation. 
She is committed to improving the small business client experience and build positive engagement by offering tailored and easily accessible educational information that will assist small businesses to understand and interact with the tax and super systems more effectively.

ABOUT YOUR HOST:

Clive has over 25 years experience with running his own two small businesses, which were built by him from the ground up and continue to operate today.  The first company, deals with digital printing and direct marketing including online applications in the form of CRM’s, and the second company is an online international telegram business.  

Clive previously worked for Australia Post, starting out as a Postie, whilst completing his Diploma in Transport and Administration.  He later became the NATIONAL SALES & PRODUCT MANAGER – Electronic Sales, meeting with utility companies and local council to facilitate Australia Post Electronic Data Interface (EDI) system.

  • You are eligible for 4 hours of subsidised Small Business Advisory with a $25 co-contribution thereafter (maximum of 60 hours) when you register with Business Connect program.   However If  your business is affected by drought, fire or COVID-19 advisory is FULLY Subsidised.

How are the ​workshops run?

Each workshop will focus on its specified topic.

We keep these workshops small, so that you can have a more hands on experience with our industry professionals. 


Workshop details:
  • Price: Due to drought, fire & COVID-19 our Seminars & online workshops are fully subsidised by Business Connect.
  • Duration: Approximately 3 hours per session.
  • What you need to bring: We recommend you have your learning hat on & have a pen & paper ready to go.
